It’s the most common question I get. The answer is: it depends. It is definitely less painful than machine tattooing for (as far as I remember) all of my clients. There are some places on the body that might be generally more painful than others. It also depends on how you feel on the day, if you slept well and had food earlier (I recommend to have some food 2-3h before tattoo session and never come on empty stomach). It might hurt, but in most of cases it doesn’t or not really that much. Sometimes it’s kind of annoying. It might get bit uncomfortable during longer sessions. It happens (actually quite often) that my clients fall asleep and it is actually often considered quite relaxing. So there’s nothing to worry about!

Hand poked tattoos, if done profesionally, are permanent, same as regular machine tattoos. I use same tattoo supplies as any other tattoo artist.

Handpoking is usually slower. However it all depends on the tattoo artist, as some are extremely fast while others require more time. I usually prefer to work in no rush and I am slow in general. It’s important for me to be relaxed during tattoo session. I also spend a lot of time before we even start tattooing just to talk and prepare everything. I guess if I tattooed with a machine, I would work anyway slow :)

While booking, I will let you know. If not, just ask. Most of my appointments take usually 1.5-4h (including all the time we need to talk, check the design and do some changes, explain everything etc.) For very tiny designs appointments take up to an hour. If you’d like to book two/few tattoos or a bigger piece I can also book for a full day session which usually is from 11 until 4/6pm.

I post info about all my travel plans on my instagram. I do travel a lot. But in the last two years I’ve been mostly travelling to enjoy and working in Brighton in my studio.

I don’t charge per hour but per piece. Once you enquire via booking form I get back to you with a quote. Each piece is priced depending on lots of different factors - your idea, how complex or detailed it is, how many elements there are, size and body placement. Most of my works you can see on my Instagram is around £150 - £400.
If you book multiple tattoos in one session I usually give a price in total rather than charging each piece separately. If you’re planning to get couple of tattoos from me this is usually best option to book them together.
